Historic Audio Tours of Linton and District
When you visit Linton, posters around town and flyers at Linton’s businesses and accommodation provide simple instructions on how to access our tours using the "guidemate" app on your smartphone or tablet.
There are three tours – one up and down the main street, one covering the wider town (Edinburgh Reserve, churches, Avenue of Honour, old railway line), and a drive in the surrounding district (Linton’s Diggings, cemetery, Flagstaff Hill, Mortchup Road).
It will involve downloading an app on a smart phone or clicking on a QR code with your phone to access the tours. You can then hear the audio description of all the significant historic sites and see relevant photos where possible.
